About commercial photographer Mark Matysiak
"With each commission I try to push things further and exceed clients expectations"Mark MatysiakI started working in photography on leaving six-form immediately being introduced to the world of commercial photography as an assistant at an advertising photography studio, building room sets and working with large format film. 30 years later I am still loving it and enjoy the challenges that each new job brings.
I started using Adobe Photoshop in 1992 on version 2.5 on a 386 PC with what was a massive, at the time, 4MB of memory and realised the way that photography would eventually go. In 2000 came my first proper digital camera back, a Sinar 23, which went on the back of my trusty manual Hasselblad 500cm along with a Macroscan for my Sinar 5"x4". With this I started to say goodbye to my much loved film and darkrooms days.
Currently I use a Hasselblad H4D 50MP, Nikon D750 and Elinchrom computer controlled lighting along with a 27" Retina iMac for shooting on in the studio and an Apple Mac Studio with Eizo screen for outputting and retouching. This combination provides ultra high consistent quality and the speed my clients demand.
